Connecting Triple Whale

Triple Whale is a destination for your Outcraft results. Outcraft sends campaign data to Triple Whale. Triple Whale does not send leads to Outcraft.

What Outcraft sends to Triple Whale

After you connect, Outcraft sends a daily summary for each campaign and channel (call, SMS, email, WhatsApp). The summary shows messages sent, delivered, opened and received. It also shows purchases, attributed revenue and Outcraft spend. The amounts are in USD.

If you add an API key, Outcraft also sends single events as attribution touchpoints. These events are:

  • A call made, a voicemail left and a call received

  • An SMS or WhatsApp message delivered

  • An email sent and an email opened

  • An SMS, WhatsApp or email reply from the lead

  • A qualified lead (sql) and a booked meeting (book_demo)

Each event has the campaign name, the lead phone number or email address, and the source outcraft-ai.

Note: Outcraft also adds utm_source, utm_medium and utm_campaign to dynamic abandoned-cart links. This happens when the company is connected, with or without an API key. Static links do not get these parameters.

Connect Triple Whale

  1. Go to Analytics → Triple Whale.

  2. Find the card for your company.

  3. Click Connect Triple Whale.

  4. Approve the access request in Triple Whale.

  5. Wait for the message Triple Whale connected.

The card shows the badge Connected and the name of your Triple Whale store. Each company reports to its own store. If the request is cancelled or times out, Outcraft shows Triple Whale is not connected. Start again from step 3.

Add an API key (optional)

You need an API key only for the single events. Without a key, Outcraft sends only the daily summary.

  1. On the company card, click Add API Key.

  2. Click Where to find API Key? to open the instructions.

  3. In Triple Whale, open Data → APIs for the same store.

  4. Click Generate, and enter a description such as Outcraft.

  5. Select the scope Email/SMS: Write.

  6. Click Generate, and copy the key. Triple Whale shows the key only one time.

  7. In Outcraft, paste the key in the API Key field.

  8. Click Save.

To stop the single events, open Edit API Key, remove the key and click Save.

Warning: A key stops working when the person who made it loses access to the store. Make the key with an account that stays in the company.

Limits

  • Outcraft sends the daily summary at 03:30 each day. It sends the last three full days, not the current day.

  • Outcraft divides the spend of a campaign equally between its active channels.

  • Outcraft does not send events for test leads.

  • Outcraft does not send an event when the lead has no phone number and no email address.

Disconnect Triple Whale

  1. Go to Analytics → Triple Whale.

  2. Click the options menu on the company card.

  3. Click Disconnect, and confirm.

Outcraft stops all reports and removes the app from your Triple Whale store. If you remove the app in Triple Whale, Outcraft removes the connection at the next daily run.

Triple Whale as a lead source

Outcraft has no feature to receive leads from Triple Whale. Do not use this connection to start campaigns.
