Using Klaviyo as a Lead Source

Last updated: August 13, 2026

Choose the objective and the lead source

  1. Create the campaign.

  2. On Choose Campaign Objective, select your objective.

  3. On Where Should This Campaign Get Leads From?, select Klaviyo.

  4. Press Continue.

Connect the account

Klaviyo uses an authorised connection. Outcraft never asks you for an API key.

  1. Open the Integrations step.

  2. Press Connect Klaviyo Account.

  3. Approve all the requested permissions in Klaviyo.

  4. Return to Outcraft and check for the green Connected badge.

Select a metric for each event

Open the Klaviyo step under Lead Source. Outcraft shows one Select Trigger list for each event that your objective needs.

Select the Klaviyo metric that fires on your site for each event. Then press Connect Events.

Note: The lists hold the metrics that your other systems send into Klaviyo. Outcraft does not offer Klaviyo's own metrics, such as email opens.

What Outcraft creates in Klaviyo

Outcraft creates one flow in your Klaviyo account for each event. Outcraft also turns each flow on. You configure nothing inside Klaviyo. Every flow name starts with [OUTCRAFT FLOW #. Do not edit, pause or delete these flows.

Limitations

  • The metric needs history. Outcraft reads past events from the metric to match the fields. A metric with no past event never finishes the setup.

  • A lead without a phone number is dropped. Outcraft discards the event, and no lead appears.

  • Two storefronts collide. Outcraft cannot tell your storefronts apart. Two stores in one Klaviyo account share one trigger, and their leads look identical.
